Quality

Galam is committed to continuously improving the quality of its products and its services, and to the performance of its integrated quality management system regarding environmental, health and safety issues.
The management perceives quality as the lever for its economic growth, and as the assurance of its future, for the benefit of the company and the customers.
As a learning organization and in order to achieve these quality goals, the management at Galam:

  • Creates a culture of quality and excellence in all of its sectors, and cultivates pride and involvement in its employees.
  • Places an emphasis on the prevention of defects by planning before acting, as the correct way to improve the quality of its products and services, and to reduce costs.
  • Allocates resources to promote Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as accepted by the food industry, and to insure the quality and safety of its products (e.g. HACCP, BRC).
  • Uses feedback from its clients and its suppliers as a tool for improving its products and services.
  • Adopts the leading standards: ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 as the basis of its integrated quality management system. Allocates the resources and encourages the implementation of these standards by every one of its employees.
  • Allocates the resources for compliance with the laws, regulations and decrees of the Israeli government and those of the countries in which it operates, in regard to quality, environmental, health and safety issues.
  • Performs procedures for the identification of hazards which may affect food safety, environmental or occupational health and safety. Assesses the risks and implements reliable controls.
  • Investigates every incident of non-compliance with the integrated quality management system requirements, in order to identify the root causes and prevent reoccurrence.
  • Creates an organizational culture that assures the protection of quality throughout the organization, and assures the creation of healthy and safe working conditions, which are friendly to the environment.
  • Considers its employees as a vital asset for achieving its goals. It allocates the resources necessary for their education and training, and encourages the employees to be involved in planning, establishing and implementing the integrated quality management system.
  • Provides current update information on aspects of the environment, health, safety and quality of our products and processes, and acts to ensure that this information has been assimilated by its employees, suppliers, contractors and the public.
  • Audits its integrated quality management system for effective implementation of this policy, and reviews the policy to make sure it is relevant for the organization.
